Apollo Appolito
All roads in Apollo’s life led him back to music. After spending some time pursuing his degree in Aerospace Engineering, he found that the call of music was too much to ignore and opted to pursue a career in what he had been doing as a hobby since primary school. After transferring to Georgia Southern University in Savannah, where he completed his Bachelors in Voice, he discovered a love of historical music, and as a result of reading several historical texts that stressed the importance of self accompaniment, he began to take up the lute. He came to Boston shortly after to study voice at the Longy School of Music, while also continuing to better himself as a lutenist. There he deepened his love of lutesong and found much gratification in the study of Baroque Opera. After receiving his Masters, and entering the professional world, he is excited to share his love of historical music with the world, and hopes that he can introduce people to music that they never expected to love. It is his mission to dispel some of the elitism around classical music as a genre, so that it is more accessible to share in the love that he holds so dear.
