Other Ways to Give
GIVE FROM YOUR IRA
If you are 70½ or older, you can make a tax-free gift directly to Portland Bach Experience from the Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) in your Individual Retirement Account.
Giving from your IRA is a smart way to enjoy tax savings and support Portland Bach Experience. When you give through your IRA, your donation will count towards your required minimum distribution for the current year and you can exclude up to $100,000 of this gift from your federal gross income — resulting in lower taxable income and possible tax savings.
You can do this anytime! But your gift must be completed by December 31 in order to receive the maximum benefits for the current tax year. Of course, we encourage you to consult with your tax adviser.
