Julia McKenzie

Violinist Julia McKenzie performs on historical and modern violins in a wide range of musical styles with numerous diverse ensembles. Her musical adventures have included appearances in international music festivals, performances with the multimedia group Melodic Vision, and dabbling in jazz, blues, and rock with area bands. Committed to bringing music to underserved audiences, she is a member of Shelter Music Boston and co-director of Eudaimonia: A Purposeful Period Band. A dedicated teacher, Julia presents historical violin demonstrations and workshops and is on the faculty of the All Newton Music School, Hamilton-Garrett Music & Arts, and the Prep School of her alma mater, the New England Conservatory.
