Sam Schuth
Sam Schuth is a violinist, violist, and teacher living in Biddeford, Maine. His mission as a performer is to make a positive impact on his local community through live performance, connecting with the audience and fostering their love of music and music-making.
Sam studied violin with Dr. Robert Lehmann at the University of Southern Maine, where he earned a Bachelor of Music degree in violin performance. While at USM, Sam was concertmaster of the Southern Maine Symphony Orchestra and was featured as a soloist in Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. He also toured the state of Maine with both the USM String Quartet and the USM String Quintet.
Sam has performed with orchestras including the Bangor Symphony, the Portland Ballet, and Maine Music Society. He has also worked with Vigorous Tenderness, Portland Bach Experience, and the Back Cove Contemporary Music Festival. Sam also has extensive musical theater experience and has worked with Maine State Music Theater, The Good Theater, Portland Players, and more. Sam teaches at his home studio in Biddeford, and at 317 Main Community Music Center in Yarmouth.
