Trevor B. Lavenbein
Trevor Lavenbein, trumpet, completed his graduate studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, England and his undergraduate education at the University of Southern Maine. Mr. Lavenbein's musical interests are not limited to just brass instruments but has performed as a vocalist with the Southern Maine Boys Chorale, University of Southern Maine Chamber Singers, Opera Maine, and is currently in his 9th year with Portland’s Choral Art a cappella ensemble Camerata. As a trumpeter, Mr. Lavenbein has performed with the Bates, Colby, and Bowdoin College Symphony Orchestras, Bach Music Festival North Conway, Portland Symphony Orchestra’s Kinderkonzerts series, Portland Brass Quintet, Christmas at the Cathedral, Portland Symphony Orchestra, Bangor Symphony Orchestra, Kotzschmar Festival Brass, Opera Maine, and Oratorio Chorale. Mr. Lavenbein is also a frequent player with the Maine Music Society, a member of The New England Brass Band, Beatles Night and Spencer And The Walrus, Plush, and is an originating member of the Portland Trumpet Ensemble and Co-Founder of the Hyperion Trumpet Ensemble. Mr. Lavenbein has been the Band Director for Loranger Memorial School in Old Orchard Beach since 2013.
