“Calling Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No 5 a song may be inaccurate…it is not only as good as music gets, but also as good as it gets, period - as good as existence, reality, life, and the world.” – NPR
Experience the exhilarating energy and explosive joy of Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 5. This chamber piece for keyboard, violin, and flute solos includes a harpsichord cadenza so radical it invented the modern piano concerto. Our joyful program is completed with “Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen” (BWV 51) for virtuoso trumpet and soprano, and Vivaldi’s rarely heard “Stabat Mater,” featuring 2022 GRAMMY-nominated mezzo Carrie Cheron. Celebrating the launch of our partnership with Longy School of Music and featuring GRAMMY-winning violinist Mandy Wolman.
